Say hello to the last beanie design in my series inspired by the Golden Girls, The Dorothy Beanie! This beautiful beanie is an intermediate/advanced level beanie pattern. It uses several stitch combinations to create a gorgeous texture. You will need worsted yarn, a 6mm hook and pom/tags, if desired. The pattern includes links to several YouTube videos that will help you learn or understand some of the stitches used in the pattern. This pattern has been extensively tested by my crew, and we're confident this pattern will be easy to follow, understand, and complete! The pattern also includes 2 band options, and an optional Messy Bun Beanie style.

I always love an Alpine stitch beanie. I had to adjust the height by decreasing earlier which is explained in the info on where to do that. My first one I had an already made knitting machine brim and used it for this pattern. I tried the mattie brim with another (not pictured) & retro stripe yarn & decreased earlier in the rounds as I like mine more fitted then slouchy plus retro stripe is a tad thicker then ilty. Takes a little trial of how many alpine rnds depending on the thickness of the yarn but cool pattern with the slanted puff accent!
